Wineries in the South West of Western Australia expect 2013 to be outstanding for red wine but a significant drop in white grape yields could lead to higher prices.
According to the article in The Weekend West April 6 – 7 2013 bad weather had caused white grape yields to plummet about 20% on average in WA’s premier wine region.
There has been an immediate impact on bulk wine pricing which has seen prices increase by around 20% for Margaret River whites.
